The San Diego Cooperative Charter School
is a tuition-free K-8 school. We encourage a diverse
student base and, since we are a charter school, can
accept children from anywhere in San Diego County.

How
classes are filled:
Available spaces are filled through a lottery system.
After the lottery period ends, applications will be
filed by date received. We create waiting
lists for all the classes and will notify the next in
line on the list if there are any vacancies.

2007 Lottery Procedure:
Open
enrollment for 2007-2008 is now closed.
To be placed on the waiting list, please contact the
office at 858-496-1613.
Open Enrollment for the 2008-2009 school
year is from October 1, 2007 through January 31, 2008.
Students who are new to SDCCS must complete the appropriate
application form and participate in a school tour (there
is a separate form for siblings of currently enrolled
students). Completed applications must be returned to
the SDCCS office by mail, fax, or in person and will
be placed on a waiting list.
Students on the waiting list will be
contacted if and/or when space is available. Siblings
of returning students will be given priority in the
lottery process. District restrictions may apply. Students
applying for Kindergarten must be five years of age
by December 2, 2008 in order to be considered for enrollment
for the 2008/2009 school year.
Please note SDCCS' acceptance of an
admission application does not ensure placement at the
school.
If a child's application is selected
for enrollment and the parent elects not to enroll the
child, their space will be forfeited. Parent acceptance
must be indicated via one of the following methods:
in writing (email, fax) or via phone at 858-496-1613
and must be received within 48 hours from the time notification
is sent or else the space will be forfeited. Forfeited
spaces are treated as new openings and will be filled
from the official wait-list.
