Parents and Friends of SDCCS Access to Linda Vista Annex When School is not in Session
We have settled into our new location and are steadily, with the help of the district, our cooperative parent body and friends, making it our own village for learning. As we continue this process, it is important that each and every one of us understand that both benefits and additional responsibilities arise out of our being at a district site.

Among other ways, we benefit from having a custodial presence on campus the entire school day, regular preventive maintenance provided by district staff, quick and properly done repairs as needed, and from a fully fenced and secure site.

The district is very vigilant in maintaining both the security of its students and staff at its sites and the physical security of the sites themselves. As any prudent property owner would do, they impose risk and liability management policies and procedures upon their tenants. One of their key risk and liability management policies is to limit access to school sites.

Please be advised that no one other than authorized district and SDCCS staff can secure entry to the Linda Vista Annex site outside of regular school hours. Parents and friends of SDCCS seeking to gain off hour’s access to the site must, with no exceptions, be accompanied by an authorized SDCCS staff member and must obtain the prior approval of the principal and/or business manager if they intend to do any work at the site.

Thank you for your cooperation.

WE DID IT!

The San Diego City School Board unanimously approved the Linda Vista Annex site as the new location for our school. It was truly the united efforts of our entire school community that made this campaign so successful. On behalf of the entire Facilities Task Force, I would like to thank all of you for participation in the quest for a new facility. All of the time and energy spent sending letters to community leaders, showing up at board meetings, participating in the phone tree, and staying informed throughout the process were essential to our success. Congratulations to all on a job well done.

Have a wonderful spring break.
